Minard & Associates Insurance Agency was formed in 1982 in Phoenix, AZ. From the beginning, the firm specialized in surety bonding and insurance for the construction industry. In November 1989, Steve Minard merged with Wink Ames, his primary competitor, to form Minard-Ames Insurance Group.
In 2007, after interviewing 30 brokers, Minard-Ames Insurance Services management concluded that INSURICA best shared its business philosophy, corporate culture and core values. In January 2008, MAIS joined the INSURICA Insurance Management Network, bringing depth of resources, other areas of specialization and additional market clout.

Originally constructed in 1872 by the founders of Paso Robles, Drury James and Daniel Blackburn, 500 12th Street was originally a carriage house within the El Paso de Robles Hot Springs Hotel complex.

This Norman agency was founded in 1925 as Graham B. Johnson Agency and became Agar-Ford Insurance Agency in 1959. In 1970, the agency’s name was changed to Agar-Ford & Jarmon. In 1977, Agar-Ford & Jarmon purchased the Hal Muldrow Insurance agency and became Agar-Ford-Jarmon & Muldrow Insurance Agency. The firm became part of the INSURICA Insurance Management Network on February 14, 1995.

Joe West began agency operations in downtown Tulsa in 1919, making his agency one of Tulsa’s oldest. Shortly thereafter, Ford Bell joined the Joe West Company, handling such accounts as T.D. Williamson, Seismograph Services and Nadel & Gussman. The agency evolved as Bob McMasters, Bob O’Dell, Del Cooper, Roy Thomason, Bill Jackson and sons David Bell, Ross Cooper and Roy Thomason Jr. joined. In 1986, Tim Driskill acquired the agency.
Always dedicated to education, the first two CPCUs in Oklahoma – Don McMasters and Clyde McMasters – were part of the agency along with five producers who earned undergraduate degrees with majors in insurance.

SAPULPA
Agency History
Joe West began agency operations in downtown Tulsa in 1919, making his agency one of Tulsa’s oldest. Shortly thereafter, Ford Bell joined the Joe West Company, handling such accounts as T.D. Williamson, Seismograph Services and Nadel & Gussman. The agency evolved as Bob McMasters, Bob O’Dell, Del Cooper, Roy Thomason, Bill Jackson and sons David Bell, Ross Cooper and Roy Thomason Jr. joined. In 1986, Tim Driskill acquired the agency.
Always dedicated to education, the first two CPCUs in Oklahoma – Don McMasters and Clyde McMasters – were part of the agency along with five producers who earned undergraduate degrees with majors in insurance.
Seeking ways to provide customers and producers with the greatest carrier opportunities, the agency is a shareholder member of Associated Risk Managers of Mid-America. Former producer Dick Bushaw founded the original ARM organization.
In 2014, Joe West Company and related agencies Keystone Insurance Agency (Sand Springs, OK) and Lon T. Jackson Agency and McMasters Insurance Counselors (both located in Sapulpa, OK) became part of INSURICA Insurance Management Network. INSURICA brings stability and added strength in Tulsa and throughout Northeastern Oklahoma.

Agency History
The agency known as Guaranty Insurance Services was founded in 1957 in Texas under the name Timber Line Company and was part of the Temple-Inland family. The expansion of the Texas agency began in 1992 through 1999 by acquisition of six agencies in strategic locations including Arlington, Austin, Baytown, Houston and San Antonio followed by the acquisition of Dallas-based TCT Insurance Agency in 2004.
The following year, Guaranty increased its holdings by acquiring a strong multi-location agency in Southern California, Walter Mortensen Insurance Agency. The respect and strong name recognition of WMI in Bakersfield and the surrounding communities have allowed them to operate in these areas since 1919.
Guaranty’s Texas footprint continued to increase in 2007 with the purchase of a Tyler/Henderson agency, Hilliard Box Insurance. A strong presence in East Texas since 1985, HBI continues to serve those communities today.
In April 2011, Guaranty became part of INSURICA Insurance Management Network and rebranded in 2012. Our clients now have access to many new resources available through the vast INSURICA network delivered by the same local relationships they’ve come to trust.

Hilliard Box Insurance has a long history and commitment to Tyler. Mike Hilliard started the agency in 1980 and merged with Dennis Box in 1985. In 2007, Guaranty Insurance Services acquired Hilliard Box, continuing their long history in Texas with strategic locations throughout the state.
